We’re looking for nurturing, creative, patient and kind teachers for our preschool prep and preschool program. We are also looking for a Studio Administrator, Marketing and Social Media Assistant and a Student & Family Care Coordinator.

I am looking for teachers and assistant teachers to join the Creative Groove Studio teaching team.

I am looking for candidates for the following positions:

  • music and art teachers for Get in the Groove for Preschool, our preschool prep program for 2 to 3-year-olds,

  • assistant teachers for our preschool prep classes.

For the teacher and assistant teacher positions, I’m looking for individuals with a natural rapport with 2 to 4 year old children who are patient, nurturing, creative and playful.

Our teachers come from a variety of backgrounds. For example, we have or have had teachers who are music, dance, drama, art, and yoga teachers. Some of our assistant teachers have worked in daycare settings, toddler classes, and as nannies.

Responsibilities:

- Set-up the classroom at the beginning of the morning and break it down at the end of the class
- Work with your co-teachers to deliver the elements of the class
- Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, play, songs and movement etc.) to engage the children
- Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem
- Encourage children to interact with each other
- Guide children to develop their capabilities, confidence and independence through a creative and play-based curriculum
- Supervise the children to ensure they are safe at all times
- Communicate with parents regularly to understand the children’s background and to learn how you can support their development
- Collaborate with the other teachers
- Maintain a clean and tidy classroom

Skills:

- Proven experience as a teacher or assistant teacher for this age group
- Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and familiarity or interest in play-based early childhood education
- Excellent communication and instructional skills
- Ability to act as a mediator between young children
- Patient, friendly, creative, and reliable
- Certification in child CPR (we can arrange this for you if you don't have it)
- BSc/BA in early childhood education or music, musical theater, or art a bonus but not essential
